lncRNA Nuclear Enrichment Signals by Chinmay Shukla, Philipp Maas, John Rinn et al: High-throughput identification of RNA nuclear enrichment sequences. RNA function presents the same problem of deciphering ancient hieroglyphics (inscribed Rosetta stone); it functions as a hieroglyphic rather than a word based lexicon in protein coding genes. Towards decoding RNA nuclear enrichment sequences for lncRNAs we developed a massively parallel RNA assay (MPRNA) to identify functional RNA domains. We identified several RNA domains that are sufficient for nuclear localization including a C-Rich motif across domains.
